Paul Watson, a mechanical engineer with advanced degrees in electronics and parallel processing, founded Oninit LLC in 2006 after relocating from the UK to the US. His career took a commercial turn in the 1990s when he began working with Informix databases. Subsequent freelance consulting engagements have allowed him to travel extensively and build a reputation that he describes as “a well-paying hobby.” As a company, Oninit specializes in replication technologies, time series data, and supporting legacy systems.

Luciano Ferro is a seasoned technology leader with a 15-year tenure at Linfa, an Italian software house specializing in vertical ERP solutions for grocery retailers. As the Chief of Technology and Product Manager, Luciano has played a pivotal role in driving Linfa’s innovation and growth. His expertise in software development and industry-specific solutions has contributed to the company’s success over the past three decades.

Raffaella Caldarella is an HCL Informix Consultant and Partner at Teetech. With a focus on ensuring her clients’ core business operations run smoothly on Informix, she excels in monitoring and managing Informix systems to maintain optimal performance. Raffaella specializes in providing tailored solutions across various sectors, including retail, supply chain management, financial controlling, and logistics and shipping.

Emily joined the Informix product family at Actian, a division of HCL Software in 2020 to focus on evolving cloud native, cloud enabled, and hybrid offerings for HCL Informix. She thrives on managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to execution, and translating complex business needs into actionable product strategies.

Previously she spent over fifteen years in multiple roles growing a thriving SaaS software portfolio focused on machine learning-driven data & analytics solutions for retailers and manufacturers. Her depth in the retail vertical includes expertise in pricing optimization, assortment planning, supply chain, inventory management and BI/reporting systems.

John (JC) Lengyel, Chief Architect at HCL Informix, is a seasoned database expert with over three decades of experience shaping Informix into a high-performance, secure, and reliable solution. His deep understanding of Informix’s inner workings has been instrumental in driving its continued adoption and innovation. By consistently listening to customer feedback and implementing their insights, JC has played a pivotal role in enhancing Informix’s capabilities and ensuring its prominence for decades to come.

Mary Schulte is a Senior Sales Engineer at Actian Corporation.  She has spent her entire field career working for powerhouse database vendors.   In fact, she established her career as a consultant, trainer, and Sales Engineer for Informix Corp, including writing THOUSANDS of lines of Informix ESQL/C and 4GL code over a span of 20 years.   She is excited that Actian is now part of the HCL family along with Informix.  As a database and LInux programming expert, she wants to share opportunities to marry the powers of both Informix and the analytics Actian Data Platform.

Nick is a Senior Product Marketing Manager for HCL Informix^® and Partners at Actian, where he works to bring the future HCL Informix roadmap to life with highly targeted messaging, positioning, case studies, content, and more. Prior to Actian, Nick worked in product marketing across several organizations including Microsoft, Neo4j, SAS, and Orbit. Nick holds a Master’s degree in International Development from Sciences Po and Bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Swedish Studies from the University of Washington.
